Know The Maker
“Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use.”
I am walking the path of drum making, and I cherish every moment of it. I work from the heart, with presence and intention. My purpose is to create your instrument — the shamanic drum from your dreams and visions — a sacred tool that supports your inner journey and spiritual work.
My Path
Not many years ago, my life followed what could be called the typical path of the modern world.
By all outward measures, it was a success. Yet beneath the surface, one thing quietly stood in the way of my contentment — myself. I was unhappy. As questions began to surface, I found myself drawn more and more into the forest. In its stillness — in the quiet, the rhythm, the balance — I discovered the space to look inward. There, I began searching for answers to questions I did not yet know how to ask.

My Story
Not many years ago, my life followed what could be called a familiar path of the modern world — education, a stable career, and the promise of fulfillment found in outward success and comfort.
After studying economics and marketing at a respected university in my home country of Hungary, I began my professional life first in journalism, then within a large construction and real estate development company. For many years, I worked there, steadily building a career that, by all conventional measures, could be considered successful.
By all outward measures, my life could be called a success — except for the one element that quietly stood in the way of contentment: myself. I was unhappy.
The workplace felt dull and spiritless, offering little to awaken imagination or anticipation beyond the distant promise of retirement decades away. I was grateful for the opportunities I had been given, yet gratitude alone could not quiet the sense that something essential was missing.
I felt that life — this remarkable world, rich with mystery and depth — had more to offer than routine and endurance. Over time, this feeling grew stronger, until it became clear that a change was inevitable. I felt drawn toward a life shaped by meaning rather than momentum, and toward an understanding of fulfillment that could not be measured by conventional success.
As I explored the possibilities before me, I began spending increasing amounts of time in the forest. In the quiet and balance of nature, I found the space to look inward, searching for answers to questions I did not yet know how to name. During this time, my attention gradually turned toward creativity. A strong, almost sudden desire to create began to surface — though at first, I did not know what form it should take.
Not long after, a chance encounter introduced me to a man in Hungary known for making music and shamanic frame drums. His gentle presence, unburdened manner, and creative spirit left a deep impression on me at a pivotal moment in my life. By then, I had already resolved to leave my work behind. With my savings, and a growing certainty that change was necessary, I set out to explore the sacred landscapes of my homeland.
As I traveled, I began to sense a deeper layer of history beneath the surface of familiar places. Over thousands of years, civilizations, empires, and cultures had passed through this land, leaving behind roots that still resonate for those willing to listen. Through this journey, I encountered spiritual traditions of my ancestors that spoke of inner and outer worlds extending beyond the physical — paths of self-discovery, balance, and a connection to life that I had never known before.
For the first time in my life, things began to fall into place. I found myself drawn deeply into the world of spirituality, feeling a natural desire to make it an integral part of my life. This path led me to become an apprentice in the art of shamanic drum making, where I began to understand the care, precision, and presence required to create each instrument.
Every shamanic drum carries its own character and voice. For centuries, these instruments have been used as companions in spiritual journeys and as tools for healing and inner work — serving both the maker and the one who plays them. Mastering this craft did not come quickly. Years of working with my hands, shaping wood and learning to listen to material, were marked by patience, discipline, and many failed attempts. Each setback became part of the process.
Through this devotion to making, my respect for music — and for the act of creation itself — grew profoundly. To follow an instrument from raw material to living sound revealed a sense of fulfillment I had long been seeking, one rooted not in outcome, but in presence and care.
Today, life carries a different meaning. I create unique shamanic instruments — including frame drums, shakers, ocean drums, and other percussive tools — and host shamanic drum-making workshops. When I am not working in the workshop, I share music and rhythmic journeys with people from around the world, celebrating connection, sound, and the simple depth of being alive.
